Junction Valley Railroad
At Junction Valley Railroad, we are proud to say that we are home to the only diamond crossing trestle in the world. Our railroad has a complete blocking and crossing signal system with over 60 operated track switches. The track grades up to 5 percent and dips 22 feet down into a valley. We have nine fully equipped engines scaled after diesels and over 75 cards of all types, kinds and sizes.
We own more than 30 buildings and stations and operate almost four miles of track, including the sidings. We operate a ten-stall round house with a turn table, 16 railroad bridges and five highway bridges. The tracks house 865 feet of trestle and bridges and run through a tunnel that is over 100 feet long. Along the tracks run concession stands with service from the box cars, as well as picnic areas, playgrounds and pavilions.
