Junction Valley Railroad Train Ride: Fun Things to Do in Birch Run, MI
At Junction Valley Railroad, we are proud to say that we are home to the only diamond-crossing trestle in the world. Our railroad has a complete blocking and crossing signal system with over 60 operating track switches. The track grades up to 5 percent and dips 22 feet down into a valley. We have 9 fully equipped engines, scaled after diesels and over 75 cars of all types and sizes. We own and have built more than 30 buildings and stations and operate almost 4 miles of track, including sidings. There is a ten-stall roundhouse complete with an operating turntable. The layout consists of 16 railroad bridges, 865 feet of trestle and bridges, and an operating tunnel over 100 feet long.
We can accommodate the whole family for a full day of fun! Concessions cars are available with service from boxcars. We offer a picnic and playground areas so that your fun doesn’t have to end after seeing everything that we offer.
